Then a newborn baby arrived, claimed some valuable space on mom’s lap, and Ralphie made it very clear that he wasn’t planning on moving anywhere else.

The clip starts in the living room with a mother relaxing on the couch. Her newborn lies resting directly along her legs. But Ralphie the Vizsla is squeezed right up there, too. This specific breed is famously known for clinging tightly to their owners at all times. The video shows the stubborn dog occupying his mom’s lap alongside the wriggly baby. He just stares directly at his dad, who is recording the entire cramped setup.
To be clear, there is space on the couch, but Ralphie doesn’t want it. Then the scene cuts to a front angle where the new parent balances both of her dependents, one tiny, the other not so much. In fact, Ralphie refuses to budge even an inch to give the newborn extra space. Instead, he just accepts some nice neck rubs while his mother holds the infant’s tiny hand.
He looks completely unbothered by his new roommate. The owner captioned the sweet post with a simple, “If I fits, I sits! ” The one-year-old pup initially had some doubts about the tiny human. He quickly decided the milk-smelling potato was part of his pack.
