While most people were heading to the desert for loud music and big crowds this weekend, one volunteer at @pawsitivelyoc decided on a much better itinerary for her Saturday. Skipping Bieber at Coachella sounds wild, but taking this shelter dog out in the car for a video was way better. Bentley is a young pup who has been waiting at OC Animal Care for 115 days. He turned into a total bouncy ball when he saw his favorite volunteer walk up to him. As it turns out, this sweet boy was more than ready for some fresh air and a little bit of adventure.

The parking lot was the first real hurdle because Bentley had no idea what to do with a car. He sniffed the back seat suspiciously and looked a bit overwhelmed by the whole concept. And since he was a little scared to hop in, he actually had to be carried into the backseat. The video shows the moment this shelter dog realized the car meant they were going somewhere fun.
He eventually started enjoying the breeze through the window as they drove toward their first destination. Stopping for a Pup Cup was a game-changer for his mood, and his face lit up the second he tasted the whipped cream. Later, he showed his gratitude with a non-stop barrage of chin kisses for the volunteer. He was a total lovebug through the entire process.
Next stop on their outing was Irvine Spectrum, so Bentley could show off his stylish “Adopt Me” jacket. By the time they reached the shopping center, Bentley was a seasoned pro at getting in and out of his seat. He was such a good boy while meeting new people and exploring new sights. He even took a moment to check out the latest collection at an apparel store entrance.
The day ended with a quiet trip back to the shelter in Tustin. It was so heartwarming to see him walk back to his kennel without any drama after such a fun outing. Hundreds of people are already rooting for him in the comments as he is currently euthanasia alerted. He deserves a person who will give him a lifetime of car rides.
