A terrified rescue dog named Sheri only knew a world inside her kennel, but a surprise full of treats and toys shows how a little love can change everything. Two days ago, dog shelter volunteer and Instagram user @rachelishaa walked into a Philadelphia shelter and saw how Sheri could not stop shaking. Rachel tells us exactly how it started and how Sheri’s day was about to change.

Before revealing the treats in the video, Rachel explains that the rescue dog was “shaking in her kennel and she was just so scared of being in there that I knew I wanted to help her.”
So she did what any superstar volunteer would do: pulling out some jerky sticks and luring Sheri to come forward. That small moment of trust became the bridge, and the internet showed up when Rachel asked her community if anyone wanted to send Sheri a treat, expecting a couple of packages. Instead, they flooded her with three whole boxes of jerky sticks; turkey, beef, and chicken, plus two plush toys.
The moment Sheri spots Rachel from across the kennel, she remembers her. Outside the kennel, Rachel lays out the buffet of flavors while the rescue dog wags through choosing her preferred treat, nudging the lamb chop toy before prancing around joyfully.
