In a touching video on Instagram, a shelter dog named Carla has not been adopted yet because she is labeled “too active.” Through on-screen text, the uploaded explains, “When the longest stay shelter dog isn’t adopted because she’s considered ‘too active.’” It continues, “But in reality, away from the shelter, this is her fighting sleep after a 20 minute walk.”

Next, the clip shows Carla in a moving car. It appears she is trying to balance herself using her paw. As the car moves, the fur baby is seen dozing off. But the canine tries her best to stay awake to give her rescuer company. Meanwhile, the human shares the dog’s true personality so that users do not mistake the sweet pooch for something she is not and judge her solely on her breed.

“She follows me everywhere and just sits next to me. Doesn’t demand pets. Just wants the quiet company,” the uploader mentions in the caption. They also claim that Carla is available for foster and adoption, and request to keep her “out of the shelter.”

Meanwhile, the shelter dog adoption video has touched viewers’ hearts. While many expressed their desires to foster her, some praised the rescuer. A user also commented, “They are so misunderstood!!! Good on ya.” Furthermore, netizens have dropped heart emojis and showered her with love.
