Getting belly rubs is a process that involves four very distinct stages for this Labrador. Over at @hellocharlietobie, Charlie is showing everyone exactly how he handles his favorite daily activity.

This chocolate Labrador knows how to make the most of every single scratch. He starts by claiming a prime spot on the family couch. Then, Charlie stares directly at the camera to signal that his human needs to start working. According to his bio, he and his brother Tobie love sharing bits of their life for fun, and this is just a part of that.

The first stage is all about preparation and perfect posture. Charlie sits deep in the couch cushions with a very serious face. He waits for his human to get with the program even as they start filming the whole thing.

Then, stage two happens as soon as his human’s hand gets close to him. He lifts a back leg to clear the way for his belly rubs. This move shows how helpful a Labrador can be when he wants attention. He is only trying to make the job easy for his human.

Stage three is when the actual magic happens for him. The pup goes totally limp as his human starts the scritches. His body literally melts into the soft fabric of the sofa. He turns his head slightly and looks completely blissed out in the moment.

These stages of affection are clearly the best part of his entire day. He looks like he never wants this to end. The final stage is also more belly rubs for the lucky pup, but slower, almost at the end of the session. Charlie rests his head on the armrest and looks sideways at the camera lens. He stays perfectly still to enjoy the lingering relaxation from his session.

Over 7,000 people have already liked his adorable routine online. One viewer joked about being extremely jealous of his relaxing lifestyle. Another person offered to be a professional belly rub sitter for him.
